Book Bags

In my quest to make the perfect carrier for everything and everyone, there is one I have designed that is ideal for use as book bags. Ahhh…is there anything so relaxing as kicking back and cracking open a good book? Reading takes you to faraway places and submerges you in the lives of new and interesting people and places,providing a much-needed break from the mundane hustle-and-bustle of life. But there I go again, digressing!

In previous posts, I’ve talked about the versatility and utility of my cross body bags which is referred to on my shopping site as shoulder bags. Not so surprising, this particular tote was originally designed for use as a book bag. Made of the same soft, durable, easy-to-care-for, 100% eco-friendly cotton canvas material as are all of my products. The design and spacious interior is what makes this tote ideal for book bags; perfect for a fat hardback novel or several paperbacks. Additionally, there’s plenty of room for including notebooks, a day planner, or a sketchpad; if you’re like me, having everything on hand is important, especially a book for those unexpected ‘down times.’

Many customers use this canvas bag as a purse or an airline carry-on bag as well as a book bag because they hold so much and sport unique, original art. All of my totes and bags are hand-painted with my Laurel’s Originals designs, most of which come from nature, especially the verdant and vibrant flora and fauna of my adopted country, Costa Rica.

Customers have commented that our little green tree frogs are delightful on the Frog Leaves and Frog Palms designs; in fact, this is one of the most popular designs for tourists to Costa Rica. Did you know we use the actual palm fronds and leaves for stamping those designs?  Often I become inspired by nature in a more abstract way, such as with the Waves, Mountains, Sunburst, and Southwest design groups.  Several of these designs will appeal to both gals and guys.

bags) won’t weather away over time; the material becomes softer and the colors may fade gently but remain true as long as you wash the bags by hand in cold water, per the instructions.
